About Me

I'm Eliana Teran, born and raised in New York City. I've always loved art for it's ability to guide people down unique points of view. I received my BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art and continue to take drawing classes at The Art Students League of New York.

Before UX design, I worked in galleries, fashion showrooms, and warehouses, gaining experience in client relationships, marketing, and supply chain logistics. I eventually found my way to UX, where I could combine my love of visual communication with technology. To me, designing a webpage is not unlike composing an artwork—both use layout and color to communicate.

I've always believed in working towards the greater good, whether it's by supporting access to reproductive health care, expanding opportunities in the arts, or facilitating food access. Technology has allowed me to turn my beliefs into action. Since 2020, I've had the great opportunity to work with Citizen Tech Collective on a variety of digital products that focus on the accessibility of health care and information for people who need it the most.
