About Me
I'm Eliana Teran, born and raised in New York City. I've always loved art for it's ability to guide people down unique points of view. I received my BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art and continue to take drawing classes at The Art Students League of New York.
Before UX design, I worked in galleries, fashion showrooms, and warehouses, gaining experience in client relationships, marketing, and supply chain logistics. I eventually found my way to UX, where I could combine my love of visual communication with technology. To me, designing a webpage is not unlike composing an artwork—both use layout and color to communicate.
With UX design, I have found a way to work towards the greater good by designing resources that align with my core beliefs. I am particular proud of projects that support reproductive health, expand opportunities in the arts, and facilitate food access. In 2020, I began working with Citizen Tech Collective on a variety of digital products that focus on the accessibility of health care and information for people who need it the most.
